Lexie Darcy is someone whose life is, actually, anything but fabulous. She's the exaggerated personification of the depressed British millennial, who's desperately trying to make her life seem more exciting than it is to avoid thinking about the next rent payment, the burning planet or degree that turned out to be a waste of time. It is all an illusion, though: there's no-one on the other end of the phone, her blonde hair is a wig, her train isn't coming (neither is the bus), she's not a model and there's nowhere to go on the National Express. This project is ongoing.
